Many volunteers are needed to help us carry out our mission. Listed below are some volunteer opportunities that are flexible and allow for a range of time commitment, abilities and level of involvement.
Board of Directors:
- Volunteer Directors are responsible for oversight of the CAC, including mission and fiscal responsibilities. A Board Member job description can be found here.
Committee Volunteers:
- Building and Maintenance volunteers are needed to assist with any building maintenance and repair needs, grounds maintenance and exploration of space and facility needs to implement programming and services.
- Resource Development Committee volunteers will assist in a variety of fundraising activities during the year and bring any new fundraising ideas to the CAC
Interview Assistant:
- Provide assistance during appointments - greet families, seat them in waiting area, and interact with/supervise child while they are meeting with the MDT.
- This position requires the volunteer to:
- Be 18+ years of age
- Provide 3 references
- Complete Child Abuse, FBI, and PA State Police clearances
- Complete 3-hour mandated reporting training
- Complete screening interview
- Complete 11.75 hours of initial training and orientation prior to beginning
- Complete 10 hours of training annually regarding victim services
